Hey! I’m Savannah Coffey, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. My passion is working with partners to explore the dynamics and patterns within their relationship that cause hurt and disconnection. I seek to repair those cycles for emotional, relational, and sexual health. Therapy allows you the opportunity to grow through the experience of acknowledging, validating, and healing the parts of yourself that have been hurt.

Before coming to South Carolina, I have experience in private practice focused on serving couples rebuilding their relationships after betrayal, community mental health services serving dual-diagnosis clients, as well as in home therapy for at-risk youth. Originally from Wilmington, NC, I received my Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina as well as a certificate in Systemic Multicultural Counseling. I obtained a double-major Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Communications, as well as a Minor in Sexuality Studies from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

My approach to therapy is simple: non-blaming and honest. I focus on empowering you to identify and live a life that is authentic to your goals and values. I intentionally create a space where you can express yourself without judgment or fear. I view my relationship with my clients as being collaborative; I want to guide you through the therapy process, not dictate it for you. My clients appreciate that I offer safety in the therapy room, yet I do not shy away from giving and receiving direct feedback and ideas, or challenging a thought that might be getting in the way of progress.

In addition to relational work, I also provide therapy for individuals looking to address life transitions, sleep disorders, and anxiety related issues. I welcome LGBTQIA+ individuals and those in relationships who are looking for support and care.
